Yummy! Yes, I wanted some MORE of the Thai noodle and rice dish we had for lunch at MORE. It’s a new sweet Thai restaurant in downtown Jersey City, and I knew why it was called More after I left the sweet spot.
Jersey City has so many more sweet spots than just More. I came to know the town 9 months ago when I started working on 77 Hudson, a phenomenal new development on the waterfront of Jersey City. The first reaction I get when I mention Jersey City to most people is a grimace. I used to frown as well. Until I got to know it.
Jersey City is a combination of Chelsea, Brooklyn, and Battery Park packed in about 1 mile radius. I have never been to anywhere like it… at least not in NJ. I grew up in Bergen County but Jersey City didn’t interest me until I found out about the beautiful brownstones around Hamilton Park and Van Vorst Park, and thought of investing in one of them about 5 years ago. It has the ambiance of Soho about 20 years ago when you didn’t walk on certain streets because it was a bit sketchy…but you knew (if you were a smart investor) that those streets were going to completely transform into something else. Hopefully that change won’t be a strip mall for Jersey City, but the showcase of the boutiques and the small restaurants have nothing short of the charming neighborhood feel that Soho or Chelsea once used to have.
If you have never been to Paulus Hook where 77 Hudson is located, definitely check it out. It’s an undiscovered treasure for pioneers who are looking for the cool spot but has not been completely transformed into one …yet. In real estate terms, that translates to the best investment you can make for your money if you are looking to buy!
CORE’s 77 Hudson Team, Ervin Hechavarria & Richared Ball, arrived in Sao Paulo this afternoon. We are attending the SISP – Salao Imobiliario Sao Paulo. In addition we have private meetings with many industry leaders and wealth managers in an effort to boost sales for CORE’s exclusive Jersey City building, 77 Hudson, a development by K Hovnanian Metro Living.
Today we are training CDP Investments brokers (one of our many partners in Sao Paulo) on how to effectively market and maximize their presentation to the expected 50,000 attendees to this year’s show. We truly expect to be a main stop of the show with our 1,100 square foot booth.
If anyone has specific questions about Brazil and real estate, please ask and we’ll get the answer while we are here. If you know anyone in Sao Paulo, ask them to stop by booth B80 and ask for Ervin or Richard.
